Features
- Matter, straight in. Commissions into Apple Home or Home Assistant with the code on the unit. Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings decline uncertified Matter devices until CSA certification lands; until then they reach the unit through Home Assistant. No TiltForge account, no cloud.
- Its own control page. The module serves a control page on your LAN, so the blind still works when the internet does not.
- Pull-and-replace. A dead radio is a $19 part you swap with your fingers — the reason it is socketed instead of soldered.
- Yours to reflash. Run ESPHome instead if you want native Home Assistant. Reflashing the TiltForge binary puts Matter back.
- Enough headroom to matter. The C6 replaced a C3 that could not run the Matter stack and hold a Google Home session at the same time.
How to use it
You hold this module when you build a Maker Kit Complete, or when a radio has died. It presses into the control board's two sockets, and pairing hands it your Wi-Fi. Every step, in order: tiltforge.com/build.
- Seat the XIAOBoard upside down, press the XIAO ESP32-C6 straight down onto its pins, USB-C port at the board's short edge. Plug in the motor lead.
- Slide in the controllerTurn the controller back over and slide it into the bay at the USB end of shell A, along the rod, sensor toward the crown. Snug fit.
- Plug in powerRun the USB-C cable down the frame to a 5 V adapter.
- Join it to your Wi-FiJoin the tiltforge-#### network from your phone, open 192.168.4.1, pick your home Wi-Fi and enter its password.
- Open its control pageOn your home Wi-Fi, open tiltforge-####.local in any browser.
- Add it to Apple HomeIn the Home app, add an accessory and scan the QR code on your insert card's sticker.
